A new, rugged pressure and temperature recorder that has been Factory Mutual certified as intrinsically safe for Class I, Division I, groups A, B, C and D and non-incendive for Class I, Division 2, groups A, B, C and D is being introduced by MadgeTech, Inc. of Warner, New Hampshire.

The MadgeTech PRTemp1000IS is a rugged pressure and temperature recorder that records both measurements independently at user-programmable reading intervals from 1 every 2 seconds to 1 every 12 hours. Featuring a stainless steel pressure strain gauge and an internal temperature sensor, it will store up to 16,383 readings in its non-volatile memory and is FM Certified as intrinsically safe for use in hostile environments.

Supplied with a one quarter-NPT male fitting or with a fully submersible adapter, the MadgeTech PRTemp1000IS is designed for -40°C to +80°C temperatures and is offered in 30, 100, 300 and 500 PSIA/G, 1000 and 5000 PSIA pressure ranges. It may be used with a PC to monitor and record data in real-time and has a programmable start time and date up to six months in advance.
