August 28, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Jobing.com, a leading provider of locally-focused job search and recruiting services designed to connect local employers and job seekers, announced today that it has been named to the 2006 Inc. 500 list of the country's fastest growing private companies. A three-year revenue growth rate of 681.8% propelled the company to 159 on the list, up dramatically from its 2005 ranking of 269. The complete list of this year's Inc. 500 honorees was announced on-line today and will be published in the September issue of Inc. magazine.

“If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500,” said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. “These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones coming up with solutions to some of our most intractable ills, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can’t live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine’s tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition.”

“We are honored to once again be recognized as an Inc. 500 fastest-growing company,” said Aaron Matos, founder and chief executive officer, Jobing.com. “Jobing.com was founded on the belief that human resources is the driving force behind the success of every business and that identifying and retaining great talent is the key to that success. Since our inception, we have been singularly focused on developing programs and services that connect local employers and job seekers. Our growth across our markets is the result of the dedication and commitment of the entire Jobing.com team. We are very proud of our accomplishments, but we have only scratched the surface of our potential.”

Inc. 500 Background and Methodology
The 2006 Inc. 500 list measures revenue growth from 2002 through 2005. To qualify, companies must have been founded and been generating revenue by the first week of 2002, and, therefore, be able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held and independent firms – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2005, and have at least $600,000 in net sales in the base year.

The 2006 list reported the most robust group of companies the magazine has ever compiled, with aggregate 2005 revenue topping $19.7 billion, up from $16.5 billion last year and $12.9 billion in 2000. In all, 14 companies topped $200 million in annual revenue, compared with 11 last year. Most important, the 2006 Inc. 500 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 90,000 jobs since those companies were founded. This year’s list is the first to include businesses that started up immediately before and after September 11, 2001 – including the number one company and 20 companies in the top 50 – as well as many companies that had to raise capital after the dot-com bubble burst. In total, 104 companies listed on this year’s Inc. 500 were started after 2000.
