Brilliant Idea by Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University on Twinning Engineering Programmes (TEP)
The first curriculum in Thailand for two degrees bestowed to the graduates, to join hands with the University of Nottingham in England and the University of New South Wales in Australia

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uruya Weesakul, Dean of Engineering Thammasat University associated with the University of Nottingham in England over 10 years in Twinning Engineering Programmes (TEP) which is the first curriculum in Thailand bestowed the two degrees to the graduates. The first two years is at Thammasat University, Rangsit campus while the rest is either at the University of Nottingham in England or the University of New South Wales in Australia based on student’s selection.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uruya said “We are willing to maintain the excellent standard of education by regulating only 200 people can participate for 4 years-programmed. The qualified students will study at Thammasart University Rangsit campus for the first two years then continue the rest of their studying abroad with their selections.”

“The graduates will be bestowed two degrees from both Thammasart University and the associated university. The cost of tuition fee is lower than 40% in comparison with studying abroad as the same course and degree. In addition, the students can have discount on tuition fee referring to the associated university’s rack rate”, added Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uruya.

Besides, the students who prefer to study in Thailand can choose “Thammasart English Programme of Engineering (TEPE).” All courses are conducted in English for 4 years at Thammasat University Rangsit campus.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Witawats, Director of TEP & TEPE said “Thammasat English Programme of Engineering (TEPE),” is intended to continually enhance TEP’s success and for those who are interested in studying in English with

international standard in Thailand and gain more opportunity and experience in international level by being exchange students between Thammasat University and the associated universities such as Germany, Denmark, Japan, and etc. Furthermore, the students will have locally and internationally field trips and personality improvement training by professional institution. In addition, scholarships will be provided for those who need as well.”

“Only 100 students per one academic year can take course in order to maintain the standard of education and the excellency of graduates,” added Asst. Prof. Dr. Witawats
