Teachers Review Learn to Study Software on Behalf of Students

(Sydney, NSW February 23th 2005) - This week educational experts around the country are reviewing what to do about a new option students have to aid their own study. EvolutionCode has released and posted copies of version 3.03 of RecallPlus study software to many teachers, schools and institutions for their recommendations.
In 2005 a typical student will never be taught the fundamentals of how to learn or how to study. Those few lucky ones who are taught how to study, are unlikely to benefit long term as there is no follow up, reinforcement or feedback. This all seems a little strange when you consider that in our society, above all, knowledge and the ability to use it govern eventual career and financial success.
When a child who appears to have been going to his or her room to 'study' comes home from school without the marks they had hoped for, parents rightly ask themselves "what is going on?" Mostly there is a significant difference between what that hopeful child is doing, and what would be considered good study technique. Large class sizes and monumental loads of material to teach prevent educators from being able to do everything they would like to improve this situation. Ultimately it is well known that more students fail to excel due to a lack of knowledge of how to study than lack of ability to study.
RecallPlus was written in 2001 by a doctor who realized it would help him study for his specialty exams. It is designed to teach and assist students in changing proven methods for optimal learning into their actual regular study habit. Since first release its improvements have also been guided by feedback from the student internet community who purchase and use it. It has been endorsed by educational experts and students alike. Diagrammatic notes with drawings, images and even the student's own voice added in, are known to help learning. RecallPlus then tests the student and tracks his or her revision. It allows the student to review graphs showing how his or her knowledge is progressing including what that student knows and does not know, and how long he or she is likely to have to study for.
Despite it being a local product, less than 5% of RecallPlus sales benefit Australian students. This week, EvolutionCode hopes to start correcting that. Onsite support is being offered along with the software so that education experts can more easily review whether they would like to recommend it to their students.
