Hanford, CA-NetCo Investments, Inc., a Santa Monica, CA based retail real estate investment and development company is pleased to announce its acquisition of the former Wal-Mart building in Hanford, CA.

The property is comprised of approximately 125,999 sqft on 12 acres. The building is a part of a larger shopping center Centennial Plaza, which includes prominent tenants such as FoodsCo, Jo-Ann, Pep Boys and Dollar Tree.

Centennial Plaza is located at one of Hanford’s most dominant intersections. Situated at 12th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard, the shopping center is directly across from a newer Home Depot and the Hanford Mall, which houses many retailers such as Sears, JC Penney, Mervyn's, Gottschalks, and Ross. Retailers in the immediate area include a newly opened Target, Michael’s, Marshall, PetsMart and Old Navy.

As an original tenant of Centennial Plaza, Wal-Mart had been very successful at this location. Thereby, prompting their decision to relocate just down the street to a new 209,860 sqft Supercenter, which opened May 2006. NetCo Investments plans to redevelop the former Wal-Mart building. Several different conceptual plans are being discussed and the final one will be predicated based on tenant interest and leasing activity.
