CAVALIER GAMING LAUNCH FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEKLY
September 02, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Sports News
London, 2006 - Cavalier Gaming Limited is delighted to announce the launch of the highly anticipated and innovative Fantasy Football Weekly (FFW) game.
The first game of its kind, FFW is fantasy football with a twist - creating a new competition for all participants for every round of Barclays Premiership fixtures throughout the 2006/7 season and beyond. Using the popular Fantasy Football format, Cavalier Gaming has reinvented the concept to suit a more inclusive target audience for the 21st century and is sure to delight pools punters, fantasy football fanatics and gamblers alike. FFW launches in time for the first weekend of the 2006/7 Barclays Premiership season, simply go to www.playffw.com to register your team.
FFW will be run as a pools game, allowing users to play for the weekly jackpot prize which will range from £500 to £10,000 dependant on the number of teams registered weekly. All football players’ values will change from week to week depending on factors such as the difficulty of their team’s fixture and the player’s form at that time e.g. Thierry Henry’s value will be far higher when Arsenal play Reading at home, than when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, as he is likely to score more goals against Reading.
In addition to the weekly jackpot prize for the winner, the best placed teams will win DVD’s and football merchandise from our sponsors. The first team is free for all new entrants and players will then buy credits to play ranging from £5 for 3 credits to £40 for forty.
Patrick Fromm, Cavalier Gaming, Managing Director commented: “The mind set of FFW is completely different from conventional Fantasy Football games. FFW is all about focusing on one set of fixtures and picking out the players you believe will perform in those games. It’s all about short term team selection and people love the challenge of a weekly game.”
The short term nature of the FFW game lends itself to the football gambling market, encouraging users to play the game, in addition to having a bet on football. Users will start each game on a level playing field allowing them the flexibility to play as and when they wish to do so, without ever falling behind other competitors. Furthermore, FFW players will enjoy the instant gratification of knowing the result of the competition by the end of each week and the rewards that are there for the taking.
Matthew Lustigman, Marketing Director, Cavalier Gaming went on to say: “Traditional fantasy football games have become saturated and outdated in today’s market. People enjoy the hype of picking their team but making constant changes quickly becomes a chore and they soon become disillusioned and lose interest, particularly when they never win anything! FFW is fresh, exciting and innovative offering a new jackpot every week and creating more winners than any other game on the market.”
The FFW website, www.playffw.com, has been specifically created so users are able to navigate the site with absolute ease. The carefully designed “Create A Team” page will allow users to enter multiple teams with no hassle in a minimal amount of time. Cavalier Gaming IT Director, Neil Mosafi noted: “The key to the FFW site is its simplicity, we want people to be able to enter their teams quickly and easily and believe the site reflects those objectives.”
The launch of FFW will be supported with a significant marketing campaign and media partnership with weekly sport magazine Take Sport. Furthermore users will be given a free credit when they register and an extra free credit for every person they refer to the game.
