Countdown Software Makes Waiting Fun

People preparing for a special event in their lives can now count down to the event with the new PC software T-Minus Countdown ClockTM. This simple, entertaining program lets people monitor the time until any date – Christmas, Wedding, Baby’s Due Date, Graduation, Retirement, the Big Game or any other important event.

T-Minus Countdown Clock is available for more than 40 popular events and holidays pre-formatted with photographs and sound effects to count down the years, months, days, hours, minutes and even seconds until the event. A user can insert their own photo, text or music to customize the clock to any important occasion.

The countdown can be displayed as a window on the user’s desktop or viewed as a screensaver. Also, it can be added to the bottom of outgoing emails automatically, so friends, family and colleagues can join in the count down.

“Anticipation is part of the fun of any event,” explains Chris Ritchie, CEO of T-Minus Enterprises, LLC. “Our software adds excitement. It’s easy-to-use and can be applied to any personal or business occasion.”

Families can count down to a baby’s due date, a birthday or a party. Sports fans can count down to a particular game, opening day, championship or golf outing.

Holiday countdowns are available for New Year’s Eve, Halloween, Easter, Fourth of July and Christmas, among others. Students can count down to the first or last day of school, prom, spring break or final exams.

Businesses can use the software to motivate employees and customers, e.g. for project deadlines, production schedules, sales contests or product launches. Employees can even “Count down to the Weekend.”

The software can not only count down, it can count up. A user can count up the time since the start of a diet or since quitting smoking. Parents can track their baby’s age since his/her date of birth. A company can track their corporate safety record by counting up since their last incident.

Music and sound effects add excitement to the countdowns. A user can listen to a holiday jingle, the sound of students cheering, or the roar of the crowd at a game. Users can add their own music, such as a personal wedding song.

“There are many ways to use the software,” says Ritchie. “Our website www.TheCountdownClock.com lists over 100 events to count down.”

One family used T-Minus to count down to their Disney vacation. From their last trip, they inserted a digital picture of the kids in front of the castle. They then added their favorite Disney song as background music.

T-Minus Countdown Clock was originally developed in 1997 to count down to the new Millennium. Companies such as Ontario Hydro in Canada used it to prepare for Y2K. Now in its fifth version, the software is used in 17 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, France and Germany.

The price for T-Minus Countdown Clock starts at $9.99. Users can order by phone, fax, mail or online by visiting www.TheCountdownClock.com.
