The annual Campbell Informatics Avenio User Group Forum represents a unique Listen and Learn gathering of key stakeholders in the global life science quality engineering community. At the forum representatives of the world's leading life science organizations will present on the 'Design; Build, and Operate' challenges of 21st century pharmaceutical engineering, together with best-practice models and methods for engineering, informatics, operations, and compliance excellence. With this in mind, this year’s theme is Quality by Design (QbD) and Life Cycle Engineering.

Joyce Ramsbotham retired recently after working for 37 years in a variety of positions in the pharmaceutical industry most recently she was Solvay’s Vice President, Global Quality Assurance for 12 years, during which she was responsible for coordinating all quality issues in the company. She represented Solvay Pharmaceuticals in EFPIA for 14 years and was the chairperson of the EFPIA Manufacturing-GMP working group and a member of the Quality group.
Ms Ramsbotham was the EFPIA topic leader for ICH Q7A. During the past three years she was very closely involved in the ICH Quality topics, Q8, Q9, and in particular, in promoting ICH Q10 on Quality Systems and the need for continuous improvement in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Joyce’s wide experience in Industry includes serving as Vice President of European Production of the Veterinary Division of Solvay Pharmaceuticals, when she was responsible for building two new factories for producing vaccines. She was also Director of International Regulatory Affairs for several years and started her career in pharmaceutical development.
