Fiji Warmly Welcomes the Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour was warmly welcomed in Suva Fiji, the the country's capital, by traditional Fijian dancers and more than 200 dignitaries who showed their support at the event. The Deputy Mayor, the Minister of Youth & Sports, the Deputy Director for Immigration and the Police Commissioner were all there for the opening event.

The Deputy Mayor showed his enthusiasm for the Scientology Volunteer Minister Goodwill Tour by stating, "The Volunteer Ministers could not have come at a better time. We are focused on improving education and the Volunteer Ministers offer a study program teaching a technology of how to study. Drugs are a growing problem here and the Volunteer Ministers have answers to helping people come off drugs. This group has the message which says: No matter how big the problem may seem, something CAN be done about it."

The Minister of Youth and Sports was the next person to speak at the opening event, he let those people their know that his intentions are to take full advantage of the Scientology Disaster Response Training and is looking forward to getting the Volunteer Ministers help in tackling the social ills of Fiji.

And as the opening celebration concluded, the work ahead for the Scientology Volunteer Ministers had just begun. The Volunteer Ministers' yellow pavilion, pitched in the United Nations Park, was filled to capacity throughout the day. Nurses visited the pavilion and were trained to deliver Scientology Assists, hundreds of other people were toured through and and listened to lectures based on the Scientology Handbook, http://www.scientologyhandbook.org, by L. Ron Hubbard.

Fiji is the 2nd stop on the South Pacific Tour, which was officially launched on 15 July with a Grand Opening held in Auckland, New Zealand, attended by dignitaries from the Maori and South Pacific Communities in New Zealand.
