THEY improv to have audiences flipping for 'Upside Down Improv' at Miami Beach Cinematheque Wednesday, September 20th at 9pm.

September 14, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Two of Miami-Dade’s hottest improv actors Justine Barron and Michael Murray welcome some of South Florida’s best improvisers performing unscripted theater based on your suggestions. This "long form improv” is breath of fresh air from the typical comedy you see at clubs and on TV.

The show includes a rare South Florida appearance of “The Armando Diaz Experience” live. "The Armando Diaz Experience" is an improv tradition that combines truthful monologues of a single improv actor (who takes on the guise of "Armando") with a mixture of connective scene work inspired by a single audience suggestion. This creates a montage of long-form improvisation that has been wowing audiences in Chicago and New York for years.

The show also features a unique "Cinema on the Side" that will keep you on the edge of your seat! "Cinema on the side" creates a live improvised "movie" based on the life experiences of one of our audience members, including stylistic parody, edits, comedic characters, and other scenic devices.

"We're excited to be participating in the event," said THEY improv director Todd Rice. "South Beach has been making us laugh for years, it's about time we get to return the favor."

Tickets are $12, or just $10 for MBC Members. The box office opens at 8:30pm and the show starts Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 9:00pm.
