Hurricane Katrina No Match for Wabi Sabi Productions and Hip Hop Artist Shakka

New York, NY Wabi Sabi Productions along with Producer, Writer, Director Emmitt Thrower and Hip Hop Artist/Activist "Shakka" have teamed up to tackle the psychological and emotional issues around Katrina. The opening of "the Hip Hop Multimedia Musical " Katrina: A Whole Lotta Water is Nov 9, 2006 8 PM at the Producers Club II located at 616 Ninth Ave, New York City. Five performances have been added for November 10 through November 12, 2006: Friday 8 PM, Saturday 2 PM and 8 PM, Sunday 2 PM and 6 PM. About Emmitt Thrower
Emmitt Thrower has produced over 11 plays off and off off Broadway for the past 16 months which address social, health and political issues. He has written about child abuse as well as identity issues.A former NYC Police officer who uses art and theater for social expression and change.

About Shakka
Shakka, a Harlem resident, who's family is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana performs his Katrina survivor song "So Much Water" as well as other original music and songs. He has a history of using art for social change as evidenced by the Shakka Child abuse project.
