Serco Usability Services announces two promotions.

Andrew designs and leads commercial research projects at Serco, with a special focus on mobile hardware and software. He also serves as a key instructor for usability and design courses offered by Serco. He also publishes Usability In The Real World, a monthly column for Usability News.

Before coming to Serco, Andrew spent eight years working at Apple Computer on instructional design and usability issues for projects ranging from HyperCard, the first commercial hypertext product, to Newton, the first commercial PDA (personal digital assistant). He also worked for three years at a company that developed police intelligence software.

Simon has over a decade of experience in applying Human Factors to systems development and has also worked in other development roles such as Business Analyst. Simon previously worked at Natwest Bank and as a Senior HCI Expert at ntl and holds an MSc in Information Technology and Human Sciences. He has extensive experience of working on a number of platforms (Internet, Intranet, Windows based applications, mobile, voice interfaces, kiosks and interactive TV). Simon specialises in large international usability projects.
