Orlando-Area Resort Redefines the Girlfriends Getaway Experience with a Truth or Dare Encounter

This fully customizable getaway is available for groups of seven or more girls, and features an extensive menu of add-on activities for a personalized and unique getaway.
The new program, which begins at $130 per person per night, was created based on feedback from potential users of the package.
“We’ve taken a popular segment of the leisure market, and identified ways to improve the experience,” said Suzanne Stephan, director of marketing. “For instance, we learned that planning a group getaway often becomes a headache for one of the girls. So we solved that problem by creating an ‘experience coordinator’ to help take care of the advance planning.”
In fact, the program was designed to accommodate the group in every way, from itinerary creation to assistance with final billing. The group planner also receives special incentives, such as an upgrade to a suite.
“The suite doubles as the perfect ‘party room’ or gathering space for the group,” continued Stephan. “This is something that some girls felt they needed at other hotels.”
Armed with a menu of add-on experiences, the Experience Coordinator can set up activities in the suite or in a host of other locations:
• Game Night – a “Truth or Dare” themed game night experience, complete with cocktails and snacks
• Spa Related – Activities such as a private exercise class or a pedicure party at the resort’s on-site Canyon Ranch SpaClub
• In-Suite Fun – including memory-making activities like a champagne toast, a movie night, chair massages, or even a visit from a fortune teller
• Gourmet Experiences – such as a private wine tasting or an in-suite “make-your-own-dessert” party
• Out & About Town – including hundreds of options such as shopping sprees with a personal shopper, or a private golf or volleyball tournament
The resort’s marketing campaign revolves around the “Truth or Dare” theme, creating a “dare” for busy females to take the time to invite their friends on a getaway. The resort’s website also includes an interactive quiz that helps females determine their need to connect with their friends.
“In the end, we know from our research that most females feel a need to further connect with friends and extended family,” said Stephan. “That’s what this is all about.”
