Farm & Home Oil Company Introduces Bioheat™ for Homeowners and Biodiesel Fuel for Trucking Fleets

Ceremony on October 5, 2006 will address the importance of alternative energy

Telford, Pa., September 12, 2006 – Farm & Home Oil Company announced that its Macungie terminal will now provide customers (homeowners and trucking fleets) with a renewable fuel resource. This achievement will be celebrated with a ceremony at 10 a.m. on October 5, 2006 at the company’s Macungie, PA plant. Company executives, political officials, and community leaders will be on hand to present remarks.

Homes will now receive Bioheat™, a blend of heating oil and soy-based biodiesel. Trucks will now receive biodiesel fuel, a blend of ultra low-sulfur diesel and soy-based biodiesel.

This “biofuel” energy is a readily available, renewable supply of cleaner-burning fuel. Because soy-based biodiesel is non-toxic and biodegradable, this resource is healthier for home heating systems and allows diesel engines to produce lower emissions. In addition, the product keeps air cleaner and helps stop global warming, as well as supports domestic agriculture since the soybeans used are produced by hard-working American farmers, while helping the country become energy independent by extending U.S. supply of heating oil. More information about Bioheat can be found at this new web site: www.meetbioheat.com.

“By supplying alternative energy we will provide numerous benefits to customers, the environment, and the domestic agriculture economy,” said Rich Longacre, CEO, Farm & Home Oil Company. “Not only are we turning a valve on October 5th, we are turning a corner. In addition to providing customers with the quality fuel they’ve come to expect, we can now demonstrate our commitment to ‘cleaner oil from American soil’ by conserving natural resources and producing alternative energy.”

Biodiesel has become America’s fastest growing alternative fuel according to the Department of Energy. Biodiesel comes from soybean oil, other renewable products, or from the technologically advanced recycling of other fats and vegetable oils. For every gallon of biodiesel used, that’s one less gallon of heating oil or diesel fuel used, which significantly reduces dependence on foreign oil.
