Los Angeles, CA - You live in a beautiful home, shouldn't your dog? That's the idea behind Doggie Mansions, a new luxury real estate firm specializing in the creation of customized, hand-crafted dog homes. Now, “Doggie Mansions” can be custom-ordered exclusively through official Los Angeles-based Doggie Mansions’ real estate agents, including Beverly Hills Mutt Club (www.beverlyhillsmuttclub.com) and Pets of Bel Air (www.petsofbelair.com).

The brainchild of veteran real estate broker Donald Gorbach, Doggie Mansions custom designs and builds each luxury dog home to order based on the owners' preferences. "The first thing we ask the dog owners is 'What's your doggie's style’?”, says Gorbach, the company’s Top Dog.

“If you live in a Mediterranean-style estate with stone columns, marble floors, a barrel tile roof, air-conditioning, plasma TVs, decorator furnishings, faux finished interiors and beautiful landscaping, that is the look we will create for your dog. If you prefer a beach house with white-washed shutters, a modern home or a pastel blue Bermuda cottage, that is what we will build. The whole idea is to integrate your taste and style into the home we create especially for your pooch."

Additional "doggie styles" offered include Key West-style cottages, coastal beach houses, urban brownstones, New England-style colonial homes and country estates. Doggie Mansions can be customized to match any style home; the base model is 48-square feet (which can be smaller or larger upon request). Families with multiple pets can opt for a "Doggie Duplex" or two-room estates with separate entrances for each pet.

Doggie Mansion clients work directly with Gorbach, "Master Builder" Alex Rossi and "Doggie Designer" Kari Roundy, owner of Boca Raton-based interior design firm Atmospheres, to determine which style they prefer. Additional options discussed with the client include the exterior colors, the interior paint style (faux finishing, high gloss, Venetian plaster), the furnishings and decor style (modern and hip or more traditional), the flooring (marble, stone, tile or wood), window treatments and whether they'd like to add dog-shaped flat-screen TVs and DVD players continuously running Benji and a Bose SoundDock. Of course, the walls are adorned with pet-friendly artwork, the doormat says "Wipe Your Paws", silk plants ensure no messy spills, carpets are treated for easy clean-ups and each home comes with a custom basket of toys and stylish food, water and treat dishes.

Clients who would prefer a combo Doggie Mansion/Child's Playhouse can of course opt for this dual-purpose estate. The homes are built using the finest materials, for either indoor or outdoor use, and are priced based on the size of the mansion and the options chosen (just like with real homes!).

Homes take about six to eight weeks to build. Unfurnished base models start at $10,500 plus delivery.
