Juno Lighting Group Reduces Safety Stock By 25% with TCLogic’s Application for Inventory Optimization

September 18, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
TCLogic, a provider of inventory optimization solutions, and Juno Lighting Group announced that the company has achieved a 25% reduction in safety stock through the use of TCLogic’s software, ROI+. The targeted result was achieved ahead of schedule while maintaining high in-stock availability.

ROI+ assists Juno with determining the optimal amount of inventory safety stock to carry by SKU. It allows Juno Lighting Group to be more efficient in serving their marketplace while lowering costs and increasing their customer service levels to over 1,400 distributors and “big-box” retailers.

“As part of our decision process, TCLogic used ROI+ to do a single point-in-time analysis on every SKU at every Juno distribution center to determine what improvements could be achieved,” comments Chris Folmar, Juno’s Director, Production/Inventory Control. “We got comfortable that we could reduce safety stock by 25% while consistently maintaining extremely high in-stock availability.”

One reason Juno selected ROI+ was its rapid implementation. And as a web-based application, it required no hardware investment. The simplicity and flexibility of ROI+ allows Juno Lighting Group to rapidly model their environment, develop strategies for inventory planning, and make modifications that allow them to efficiently serve their customers.

“ROI+ is an ideal solution for companies like Juno Lighting Group that must manage the unique demands of their market with complex inventory requirements,” states Tom Uhrig, President of TCLogic. “ROI+ fills the void created by ERP and SCM systems.”

Juno reports additional benefits including the ability to serve their customers more quickly while increasing customer satisfaction.
