BANC INTRANETS LAUNCHES NEW INTRANET FOR REPUBLIC FIRST BANK OF PHILADELPHIA

Johnson City Tennessee, USA … Banc Intranets, LLC, a producer of Intranet systems that help financial institutions improve employee productivity, has implemented a new multi-function Intranet for Republic First Bank (NASDAQ: FRBK), a full-service regional bank with about $900 million in assets based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Republic First Bank’s new Intranet system is based on Banc Intranet’s innovative BancWorks® product. It serves more than 200 managers and employees, enabling the bank to minimize paperwork, free-up data storage space and apply new electronic tools while speeding communications across the company and enhancing customer service.

Mark Anderson, Senior Partner, Banc Intranets, LLC, said, “Republic First Bank and its parent company Republic First Bancorp, Inc. chose to implement our BancWorks product so employees can have quick access to information, tools and efficiencies to deliver higher levels of customer service while saving time and money.” The system also serves Republic First Bank’s sister bank – First Bank of Delaware in Rocky Run, Delaware – an entity spun off by Republic First Bancorp in 2005 as an independent operation.

“BancWorks was perfect for our needs,” said Jennifer Frost, Vice President of E-Services for BSC Services Corporation, which manages both banks’ electronic banking operations.

“Our primary requirement was to improve distributed content management,” said Frost. “By establishing an Intranet, we wanted each department to manage communications content for its employees. The Intranet had to have user-friendly navigation features and needed to be graphically attractive and within the bank’s brand. “We also wanted reliable system security so we could ‘lock down’ certain files and documents,” Frost said.

BancWorks provided the ideal solution. Designed by financial professionals, BancWorks offered Republic First Bank powerful Intranet features that enable managers to independently manage, modify, update and easily publish their own content among many additional capabilities.

Previously, said Frost, “We were sending out the same information to about 200 employees at both banks via email. Employees were saving email for reference, using a lot of file server space. We wanted to alleviate that inconvenience and make our communications more efficient.”

“We liked that BancWorks software had the architecture and applications for a financial institution built right in,” Frost added. “We wouldn’t need to create an Intranet from scratch. It has dynamic templates for loan rates, deposit products and services, as well as a setup for branch offices and other elements that suit our organization. Our loan rates are easily accessible, allowing us to quote current rates to customers.

“All of our bank services and checking account service information also is built in —a key benefit that helps when we talk with customers about opening new accounts and cross-sell additional services,” said Frost.

“When we saw the amount of time, human resources and money that BancWorks would save us versus its competitors, we were sold,” said Frost. “Also, BancWorks is very flexible – we can customize it to our needs. We are very happy with the BancWorks product,” she said.

“We are pleased to have Republic First Bank among our family of clients,” said Anderson. “BancWorks is simply the most comprehensive and easiest to use enterprise web content management solution on the market and can be easily customized to fit any financial institution.”
