Thumbnail Media Planner to Sell Ads in 2007 Edition

Detroit, MI (PRLEAP) September 26, 2006 — Beginning with the 2007 edition, out in November 2006, the Thumbnail Media Planner will offer a limited number of advertising availabilities, according to Ron Geskey, publisher.

The Thumbnail Media Planner is a unique marketing/media reference which provides key market/media data and costs for all major national and local media, as well as a variety of non traditional media. The Planner also includes a convenient Top 100 Market Planner for those needing to quickly look at the cost of media programs in select DMAs.

"I have come full circle on whether to put advertising in the Planner," says Geskey, "but the right kind of ads could provide added value to our customers— who tend to be agency management, account and media people, advertisers, media reps and entrepreneurs. So, ads for lesser known or non traditional media or even marketing services like SEO or barter, could be informative and inspire our audience to think outside the box — while providing incremental business for advertisers."

"The Thumbnail Media Planner will definitely not become the Google Adsense of print, Geskey continued, as we will limit ads to a maximum of 10% of pages. In 2007, we are planning 100+ pages, so that would be a maximum of 10 ads. Our focus will still be on providing great content."

Ad formats can include anything from a four page section, spread, page, 1/2 or 1/3 page.

"We are also thinking about offering a few sponsorship opportunities where an agency or an advertising medium or other marketing firm could buy bulk copies of the Planner with their name printed on the cover. We could even include some special content for them if they wanted it. Clients could use the Planner not only to arm their own staffs with information they should have, but also to merchandise themselves to clients and new business prospects," Geskey said.
