Nantwich wine and champagne specialist, Edencroft, is hoping to turn the town into drink connoisseurs over the Festival weekend as this year’s newest event is unveiled, bringing with it experts from some of the finest vineyards and distilleries from around the world.

The Edencroft Fine Wine & Spirit Pavilion will be offering over 160 wines, plus whiskies, cognacs and champagnes from prestigious names such as Canard Duchêne, Barossa Valley Estate, Bollinger and Tattinger, to name but a few.

Not only will visitors to the Pavilion at the Nantwich Food and Drink Festival be able to sample some of the finest wines, champagnes and spirits on offer today, but experts from these first class wineries and distilleries will be on hand to provide regular tutored tastings in the Fine Wine & Spirit Theatre. Sessions will include everything from the story of the grand journey from vine to glass to pointers on noting clarity. Experts will also be on hand throughout the weekend with general advice and tips.

Mark Brookshaw, owner of Edencroft comments: “I am delighted that Edencroft is playing a major part in the Nantwich Food & Drink Festival this year and the new Pavilion is sure to provide something for everyone. Both the uninitiated and budding experts will be able to benefit from the wealth of top class exhibitors in the Marquee and learn to truly appreciate the products they are tasting, while those that like what they’ve tried can purchase direct from the seller there, often at a discounted rate.”

Local Environment Portfolio Holder, Councillor John Hammond comments: “In just over a week, Nantwich will play host to some of the finest food and drink producers from around the world, as well as those from right on our doorstep. The new Edencroft Pavilion is sure to be a big hit with all that enter, and it really captures the spirit of the Festival - celebrating the very best in wine, champagne and spirits that are on offer today, both locally and from around the world.”
