NEW SIT-COM INSPIRED BY TRAVAILS OF
MEL GIBSON, ROBIN WILLIAMS, CONGRESSMAN MARK FOLEY AND OTHER CELEBRITY ‘REHABBERS’

“This stuff writes itself… literally,” says producer

MIAMI, FLORIDA - A Florida television production company is producing a situation comedy for network television entitled, Rehab, with fictionalized characters based on real life celebrities and politicians such as Mel Gibson, Robin Williams, Congressman Foley, Robert Downey Jr. who enter the rehab program at a fictional Oregon treatment facility.

Producers at Hallandale Beach, Florida-based TMR Multimedia have high hopes for its ever topical show about celebrities, politicians and pop culture icons gone awry will win viewers over.

“This stuff writes itself… literally,” said Rehab executive producer, Bill Singletary. “Rehab programs have become the new spin control vehicles for alleged celebrity and political substance abusers, pedophiles and miscreants. If you’re going to act like a sit-com character, you deserve to have your own show.”

And so Singletary created Rehab, an uproarious comedy which takes its lead from the real life trials and tribulations of pop culture icons and celebrities who’ve taken a walk on the wild side one too many times. Singletary is hoping to secure cameo appearances from at least some the celebrities who helped inspire the premise.

“Most of these celebrities, besides having some problems, also have senses of humor,” says Singletary. “I think they’ll jump at the opportunity to laugh at themselves. It’s a great public relations Rehab opportunity.”

TMR Multimedia is a television production and communications company. Most recently, TMR created and wrote Kmart’s mega-successful fall 2005 advertising campaign, jingle and hit single, “I Found Love At A Kmart Store”, sung by country music star, Darryl Worley.
