October 10, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
Seattle, WA - For Immediate Release

For Women Traveling Solo (www.forwomentravelingsolo.com) has announced a contest through the end of October awarding solo travel gear to Blog subscribers and Forum participants. For Women Traveling Solo is a comprehensive website providing in-depth
information and a community for solo women travelers.

From now through October 31, 2006, anyone who subscribes to the travel blog alert, will be entered in a drawing for a free item from the Café Press Solo Travel shop. Subscribers will be alerted via email each time a new blog posting is added to the site. Email addresses are not shared with third parties and participants can opt-out an any time.

In addition, anyone who registers for the Forum area and posts a comment will be entered in the drawing. For each comment added during October, the user will get their name added to the drawing.

Winners will be announced in the For Women Traveling Solo November newsletter.

The website fills the niche for the information-deprived female travel market. www.forwomentravelingsolo.com includes tips for women traveling on their own, product reviews, and a Blog that explores women’s issues and interests in travel.

Additionally, it includes a Forum for women to share travel information, learn about the latest safety concerns pertaining to specific regions, and connect with other women travelers.

The number of women traveling independently has seen a dramatic increase in recent years and women are hungry to learn from others and to share their own experiences.

This site aims to fill the void of information available for this growing market and is a destination in itself for women to visit prior to hitting the road.

A monthly newsletter is also available for anyone interested in receiving travel-related book and music recommendations as well as travel tips and information.

With nearly twenty years of travel experience, the website is published and moderated by Beth Whitman and draws from her years as a solo traveler.
