MIAMI, FLORIDA - He’s got nothing interesting to say, isn’t a celebrity or even a wannabe politician. But milkman, Fritz Freling, has set out to become The Most Interviewed Human Being In the World.

“The media is filled with inane banter and meaningless dialogue,” said Freling. “Since I’m about as engaging as an amoeba, I figure I’ve got what it takes to fill theairwaves. I’ve got nothing to say and I’m going to say it repeatedly; in every medium.”

When asked how many interviews it would take to give him the title of Most
Interviewed Man In the World, Freling ebulliently responded, “249,652.”

Although Freling only speaks English, he wants his interviews to transcend cultural and international boundaries. “Banality is universal. I’m hoping some of my interviews will be translated into Swahili, Cantonese and ancient cuneiform. The medium is the message and I want to be extra large.”

Not content to achieve the Most Interviewed record, Freling is hoping to attract sponsors for his Most Interviewed campaign. “Everytime I’m interviewed I pop in the sponsor’s name, whether it’s relevant to the interview or not. And in true media fashion,it never is.”

As befits a global record aspirant, Freling was asked what he’d do to make the
world a better place in which to live. “I’d impose a 30-day press moratorium during which there would be no local television news reports by anchors named Bubbles and no radio morning shows that begin with the words, ‘Zoo, team, or Scoots and Chrissy. I’d also place Larry King in a soundproof room for the duration…just to make sure.”
