(Los Angeles/New York, 10/16/2006) —- Online video distributor YouAreTV (www.youare.tv) has come on board to support the Cinematic CD Film2Music Competition through online video submissions, voting, and showcasing of entries. The Cinematic CD Film2Music Competition is a short film contest inviting filmmakers across the world to create a short film based on images evoked by a musical track of their choice from the CD “Cinematic.”

New York-based YouAreTV now prominently features competition submissions in a dedicated area on the site, promoting the contest and making the competition entries more accessible for audiences to view online.

Within a few days, visitors to YouAreTV will also be able to vote for their favorite contest entries directly through the site, in addition to the already available contest voting pages at www.cinematicCD.com.

"YouAreTV provides filmmakers online distribution channels that offer credible exposure for their work. We are excited because Film2Music truly represents what this new era of indie music, films and television is all about - creative minds inviting and challenging other creative minds to tell interesting stories in new ways,” offers YouAreTV founder David Dundas.

"I'm happy and honored that an online video distributor of such quality and caliber is helping us give the amazing entries we've already received, and the many dozens yet to come, the exposure and audience they so richly deserve," says composer and contest sponsor Kubilay Üner.

So far, over 170 filmmakers from all over the US and eleven other countries on four continents have registered to participate. A small number of films have already been completed and submitted, and more arrive every day.

The Film2Music Competition invites filmmakers to create a short film to a track of their choice from the CD Cinematic. Cinematic is instrumental music by composer Kubilay Üner intended to evoke vivid images and evolving stories.

Registrants cover a diverse range of backgrounds, ages, and creative experience, from current students in film departments and hobbyists to professional filmmakers and visual artists of various disciplines, eager to face a new challenge.

The Grand Prize is $10,000; two Second Prizes are set $1,000 each. A panel of six internationally renowned filmmakers, including writer/director Michael Polish and "Monster" producer Clark Peterson, will determine those winners.

In addition, a worldwide Internet audience votes for the $5,000 Online Audience Award winner. The submission deadline for the competition is November 1st, 2006. For more information on the Film2Music Competition visit www.film2music.com.
