The conference afforded tax professionals nationwide the opportunity to attend extensive training sessions on topics regarding individual, corporate, and estate tax returns, as well as participating in forums pertaining to the tax system and government representation.

Accredited speakers and instructors from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and from around the country guided participants through the often-complicated issues of tax law and tax regulation as it applies to them and their clients, using various methods of instruction, hands-on practice, and discussion groups. Sessions included such topics as ethics, client data security, alternative minimum tax (AMT), succession planning, utilizing personal tax credits, asset protection, business deductions, tax planning for the elderly, like-kind exchanges, and many more.

The National Association of Tax Professionals is a nonprofit professional association founded in 1979 to serve professionals working in all areas of tax practice through professional education, tax research, and products. NATP has nearly 18,000 members nationwide.
