(Hudson, Ohio, USA / October 19, 2006) – Radcom’s team in the September 23 “Light the Night®” walk to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has raised more than its $5,000 fundraising goal. Team Captain Rob Catalano said, “Our turnout in both marchers and supporters this year has been amazing. We had an even bigger team than last year and exceeded last year’s goal by over $1,000. We hope to keep the momentum going for next year’s walk!”

With a team of 21 members, Radcom’s Mighty Mikey’s Marchers walked the mile long route at Falls River Square in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in support of Mikey Dianetti. Mighty Mikey is a six-year old leukemia fighting super hero and the son of Radcom principals, Bob and Angie Dianetti. Team members included Radcom staff, friends, and family.

Mighty Mikey also sends his thanks to the good ladies at the Quilting Circle of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hudson, Ohio for a beautiful prayer quilt with the Mighty Mikey logo supplied by Radcom staffer, Jennifer Beaujon. Mighty Mikey said, “I can use it like a super hero cape during the day and to snuggle with Mom at night.”

The team did not exceed its $5,000 goal by the night of the walk, although over the next week supporters continued to send in donations. “What put us over the top,” said Angie Dianetti, mother of Mighty Mikey, “was the money we raised at our company’s 10th anniversary clambake thanks to O’Goodies of Hudson. They donated a gorgeous gift basket which we raffled off to support the team.” The basket was won by Ginny Haas who is not only one of Mighty Mikey’s Marchers, but also Mikey’s aunt and another Radcom staffer.

The team also wants to thank Radcom staffer Scott Duncan who could not join the marchers, but he supported the team by raising funds by mowing lawns for his neighbors who donated to the team last year. They also thank Premier Printing and Signs of Stow, Ohio for donating team business cards and Anything Promo of Northfield, Ohio for making the team shirts with a photo of Mighty Mikey in his famous “karate chop” super hero pose.
