Motivational Speaker Joy Fisher-Sykes Earns Distinguished Toastmasters Award from Toastmasters International

Virginia Beach, VA, October 19, 2006—Motivational speaker Joy Fisher-Sykes received the Distinguished Toastmasters Award from Toastmasters International in September 2006 for completing and excelling in the challenging Toastmasters educational program.

Joy received her Distinguished Toastmasters Award (DTM) by completing the Communication and Leadership manual, three levels of the communication training (Advanced Bronze, Advanced Silver, and Advanced Gold), and two levels of leadership training (Competent Leader and Advanced Leader). Joy was required to complete thirty speeches, take on various leadership roles with Toastmasters at the club and district levels, present club and speaker training, mentor new clubs, and spearhead Youth Leadership programs. She also completed the High Performance Leadership Program, presenting leadership programs to new and existing Toastmasters clubs and assisting clubs in achieving their goals.
