Online Learning Accelerate Learning by 25 – 50%

Mag finished her first Mandarin Express Intro Level A book in 12 weeks, 2 hours each week. She did that in additional to her busy business trips and meetings and high demanding job as a VP. And in many ways, like pronunciation, and fluency, she is even better than other students who finish the same book in 16 weeks.

She is one of the initial four students who started learning speaking Mandarin using a combination of online lessons and face-to-face-with-teacher lessons at MSL Learning Center. They saved their time by 25 – 50% and achieved marvelous results.

What this Class/Net Fast Mandarin really achieves is to shift the learning process from teacher to students. And use the time with teacher in massive conversational exercises and role plays. This shift will lead to more productive time for the students. As learning pace will be driven by the students instead of by the teachers, this will give the students extra motivation. And it also leads to great job satisfaction for teacher’s side.

Although MSL Learning Center has started to offer online lessons since April, 2006, most of their students are still quite hesitant about online learning. The traditional thought is “learning with a teacher”. Only a small number of adventurous people were willing to try and eventually got great satisfaction from that. The most important part is they saved time. In a society where time is priceless, saving time is utmost important. The next best thing will be to take a pill and start talking Mandarin.

Co-fonder and program designer April Zhang said: “It's a marvelous experience, for both students and teachers!”

MSL Learning Center has been providing Mandarin training for non-Chinese speakers since 2003. MSL Learning Center is a privately held corporation, providing and publishing Mandarin learning materials for people who learn Mandarin as a Second Language.
