After Rachel Sheridan gave birth to her son three years ago she was devastated to find herself suffering with post natal depression. At the time she was not working but devoting all her time to her son.

Rachel says:
'I just wouldn't admit that I had PNT, I couldn't believe that I could suffer from it as I just did't think I was the type. I suffered in silence for almost six months before admitting I did have a problem and then almost one year before I felt ablt to get on with life.

During that time a friend of Rachel's had just started a new relationship after an upsetting divorce and admitted they had met through an internet dating site.
'I was fascinated by this and began to look into the business of dating on the web and couldn't believe the wealth of sites out there. It was then I thought 'This is something I could do'

Rachel was already well versed in all things internet as she had previously been working in internet marketing and promotion.

'I found it a great therapy having a project of this scale to work on, I just put all my eccess emotion into it and found I wasn't dwelling on minor things as I just didn't have the time.'

One year after her original idea, Rachel was ready to launch the site www.nomoose.com and now on the first anniversary of the sites launch she has had her first success story!

'It was great to get a positive story and hear that two of the first people to register have become engaged.'

'Now that I am in the position to help others I think it's fitting that the Depression Alliance are the first charity to benefit as they do great work and it also allows me to bring attention to the illness and hopefully show people that it is nothing to be ashamed of and can be overcome.'
