Balancing a career and motherhood isn’t easy – and multitasking becomes the name of the game. That’s why several working moms got together to create Career Mom Radio (www.CareerMomRadio.com), an online radio show that can be downloaded and listened to anytime.

“Research shows there’s an enormous market opportunity out there of women looking for smart and engaging talk radio. With very little programming that really targets women on the radio, we wanted to create a show that’s a real need in the marketplace,” says Erica Douglas, one of the founders. “By creating Career Mom Radio in this format, it allows mom to work, cook, drive, play, or clean – if you must –while listening to mothers who have the same issues. And, as if that isn’t great enough, the podcast format gives mom the opportunity to re-listen to the segments they love as much as they want.”

Research has shown that women are not satisfied with the talk, news or information currently available on radio. In a survey conducted by PhiPower of more than 1,000 women, only 43 percent said they listen regularly or occasionally to talk radio today, whereas 74 percent said they would listen regularly to talk radio for women.

The show, which features moms with careers in a variety of fields and children of different ages, will air weekly and is available for download twenty four hours a day, seven days a week at www.CareerMomRadio.com.

“We have had an overwhelming response to the show thus far,” says Douglas. “Mothers everywhere are loving the insights, and words of wisdom our hosts share each week. They Laugh and cry with them.” Their line up of international mom hosts includes Carol Beck, Glennia Campbell, Shannon Cherry, Jody DeVere, Erica Douglas, Megin Hatch, Alice Higgs, Heather Mundell, Pamela Slim, and Penelope Trunk.
