HIGH DESERT NATURALS, INC. DEVELOPS MADE IN THE USA ORGANIC COTTON SHEET PROGRAM

Continuing to push the envelope, HDN recently launched a line of MADE in the USA organic Pima cotton sheets. When everyone else is closing their USA operations and moving overseas, HDN has opted to do the opposite for their organic cotton bedding program.

High Desert Naturals, Inc. is used to going against the grain. Instead of launching a conventional cotton bedding line, they opted to use rich, sumptuous organic cotton fabrics for their bedding collections.

Why organic cotton? Organic textiles are the wave of the future. Not only are they hypo-allergenic and environmentally friendly, they are just as soft, resilient and easy to care for as conventional fabrics. Although you can’t eat your sheets, they are made without the use of pesticides, insecticides and harsh chemicals, just like organic foods.

Continuing to push the envelope, HDN recently launched a line of MADE in the USA organic Pima cotton sheets. When everyone else is closing their USA operations and moving overseas, HDN has opted to do the opposite. HDN’s MADE in the USA program allows them greater access to goods, support of the domestic organic cotton market and lower price points.

“People think organic equals expensive, MADE in the USA equals even more expensive. We found the opposite. I know it sounds strange, but it is true,” states Jennifer Calderazzo, Sales & Marketing for HDN. HDN found they were able to cut their transportation costs associated with importing so drastically, that they were actually able to lower their prices as opposed to increase them. In addition, prices will become more and more competitive as the demand for organic cotton increases.

In addition to their friendly price points, HDN asserts that the quality and the style of their organic cotton bedding products rival anything else on the market. “We wouldn’t put anything into our line that we wouldn’t want in our own homes. Our bedding is high end and will impress even the most discerning bedding consumer,” says Jennifer Calderazzo, Sales & Marketing for HDN

As for style, HDN’s design philosophy is strongly rooted in color and prints, which have been largely lacking in organic home textiles. By offering options for a sophisticated “green” bedroom, HDN has found they attract not just those that are environmentally conscious, but consumers that merely like what they see and feel.

“Quality, price and style are huge concerns for consumers with any product. What people are discovering is they don’t have to sacrifice this to support environmentally friendly products, including linens”, asserts Calderazzo.

Inspired from their work in the organic apparel industry, the founders of High Desert Naturals, Inc. (HDN), designed their own line of bed sheets, duvet covers, shams, shower curtains and baby bedding made with 100% organic cotton. HDN offers wholesale and private label services to the organic home textile industry. For more information, log on to www.hdndesigns.com.
