Milwaukee based film maker, Jack LeFeber is in the process of producing “RUNNING ON FUMES?”, an alternatives fuels documentary which seeks to explore the industrial world’s prospects for energy as the planet approaches a critical era.

When the demand for fossil fuels becomes greater than the supply, what are the alternatives? Since many industry experts believe that we are past “Peak” production already. It is in our best interest to look forward. What will really happen when oil begins to decline? Can homegrown fuels reduce our energy dependence on other countries, as well as secure our national security.

“RUNNING ON FUMES?” will educate the public and address a ranges of questions and possible answers for the future energy sources such as what natural, renewable fuel sources do we really have available to us? Can available and renewable fuels such as biodiesel cut our dependence on foreign oil and help cleanup the environment at the same time? Are alternatives such as ethanol and bio-fuels viable options for the future? The film will explore the answers to those questions and the requirements to build an infrastructure to transition to cleaner, renewable energy sources.

The State of Wisconsin has formed an active partnership allowing the filmmaker to be in the forefront of industry development. The state is sharing industry resources and legislation and allowing the filmmaker to perform an active role in the form of documentation of the industry as it is being assembled.

Follow the filmmaker across the globe to other countries that are currently using alternative energy sources such as Brazil and France. He interviews experts on all sides of these issues, including power companys, big oil industry executives, leading engineers, several national energy agencies around the world, leading physics and celebrity activist such as Daryl Hannah.

The film will also feature the efforts of “Green Companies” such as John Deere, S.C. Johnson, and the Ford Motor Company and what they are doing to conserve our natural resources and cleanup the environment. Jack also will interview “Homebrewers”, a growing underground movement of average people who are producing their own biodiesel and ethanol from vegetation.

The film is being shot on High Definition, for theatrical release. If your company would be interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Jack for a sponsorship application that outlines the marketing benefits offered by the film.
