Abundant Life Project Establishes Relationships in India and Supplies Entire Congregation with Bibles

(Little Rock, Arkansas)– When founders of the Abundant Life Project (www.AbundantLifeProject.com) launched their ministry, they had no idea how quickly they would form strong connections half-way around the world. “We are so pleased that this young pastor from India heard about us and contacted us through our website,” says Dr. Jeff D. Standridge, co-Founder of the Project, “otherwise, we would never have learned of his work or his ongoing ministry needs.”

After learning more about the young pastor’s ministry, Standridge and co-Founder Rev. Tim Kellerman arranged to supply his entire congregation with Bibles in their native language. Rev. Kellerman explains, “Pastor Anil Kumar has such a servant’s heart and is so passionate about his ministry. As we interacted with him via email, he explained that the more than 250 members of his two churches shared less than 10 Bibles. We were so happy to be able to fill that particular need and we are now exploring additional ways to assist his ministry and the ministry of other pastors in the region.”

Pastor Kumar describes the day the Bibles were distributed. “The Abundant Life Project changed our church with the new Bibles. The distribution of Bibles went on very well, so well in fact, that I am unable to express my happiness about it. Everyone was very happy and cheerful as they received their Bibles. As I looked at them and saw every one of them having Bibles in their hands, my heart felt very much happy. They have encouraged us very much.”

In a region where approximately 90% of the population is Hindu and less than 3% is Christian, Pastor Kumar’s ministry beyond his local church is focused on training pastors to share the Gospel with youth and adults throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh. “He’s a great young leader,” explains Standridge. “He brings hundreds of pastors together regularly through open-air leadership conferences to equip them for ministry. That’s a great accomplishment for someone who doesn’t even have some of the basic necessities – things we take for granted.”

“We’re looking for ways to establish an ongoing relationship with this ministry,” continues Kellerman. “Of course, that requires funds, but God is calling us to help and that’s what we intend to do.”

The Abundant Life Project is supported by donations from supporters, as well as by royalties from a book co-authored by Standridge and Kellerman. The Abundance Principle: Five Keys to Extraordinary Living was released in June and is making its way into mainstream bookstores. Named an Award-winning Finalist in the USA Book News Awards, The Abundance Principle has been featured on American Family Radio, as well as in the winter issue of 3V Magazine. “God is opening new doors all around us,” says Kellerman. “We’re just pleased to be able to respond.”
