North Pole — This year Santa Claus has his own web site where he sends daily email messages to children worldwide. Messages are personalized with each child's name and arrive one each day from December 1st right through Christmas Day.

Santa's email messages come with all the bells and whistles modern email can provide including the sound of Santa's "Ho, Ho, Ho" and reindeer bells when the email is opened. Messages come on colorful email stationary complete with Santa's signature.

Each email contains different content and are written to encourage the child to be good. Recipients receive continuing updates about the work Santa and his elves are doing in the workshop in preparation for the big day.

"We've heard from a lot of parents who are planning to print the messages off to read to their child at bedtime," said Daren Ward, founder of SantaClausGrotto.com. "These days children have embraced the Internet and email as an integral part of their lives. It just makes sense for Santa Claus to communicate with them directly via daily email," Daren said.

Along with Santa's emails, children are given a password to his secret area on SantaClausGrotto.com. There kids find children's activities, stories, and downloadable games. "This gives children some great activities to keep them busy during this special and very exciting time of the year," Daren said.

The site contributes 20 per cent of orders to a major children's charity in January.

"We're very proud of our commitment to children's charities. Students of history will remember that Santa Claus started out as a patron for kids. We plan to continue that spirit by helping children in need in a major way. Thanks to all our customers who are making that possible," Daren said.
