London, 13 November 2006 – Fast-growing online technology solutions provider GoQuo Ltd (www.goquo.com) has been chosen by London-based specialist travel agency Travel Centre (Clapham) Ltd to help expand its niche market leadership.

Established in 1978 by managing director Luc Cheung, Travel Centre (Clapham) operates three main brands: www.mauritius.com, Chinese Travel Centre, and Fly2africa.com

Regarded as a leader in its sector, Mauritius.com specialises in providing full service tailor-made premium holidays to the Indian Ocean destination, with flight partners BA and Air Mauritius and accommodation providers spanning the island’s luxury hotels and villas.

Based in London’s Soho, Chinese Travel Centre is BA’s main consolidator for flights to Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, and also offers hotel accommodation in the latter two cities. Fly2africa.com offers flights to Lagos, Accra and Abuja in West Africa, as well as to Mauritius.

Cheung said that Travel Centre (Clapham) has a leadership position in its niche markets and technology will play an important role in helping the business to extend that lead through superior choice, value and service for its clients. “We currently fly over 50,000 customers annually,” he states, “and our growth plan is to increase overall customer numbers and bookings while enhancing our reputation for quality, customer focus and service.”

Cost, Customisation and Know-how
GoQuo is currently customising its GQDynamic, GQConsol and GQAgent online technology solutions to meet the anticipated business of Travel Centre (Clapham). The first phase of the programme, expected to go live in November, will enable the sales team of Travel Centre (Clapham) to use GoQuo’s product suite and its dedicated customer relationship management software, to efficiently process travel enquiries and book flights and hotels in real time.

Phase two will focus on integrating GoQuo’s dynamic packaging solution with the systems of Travel Centre (Clapham) for full operational use by the year-end.

Travel Centre (Clapham) Johnny Leung, who is overseeing the technology project, said customer enquiries have risen sharply following a revamp of the three web sites, adding ‘GoQuo’s technology will give us a real edge in converting those enquiries into bookings’.

He explained: “We began searching initially for a dynamic packaging solution but quickly realised we could do more. After reviewing a number of technology suppliers, some of whom were expensive while others wanted to sell us functionality we didn’t need, we chose GoQuo.”

“Their pricing was very attractive, while the GoQuo team impressed us hugely with their understanding of the market and how they could help our business, not least by tailoring their solutions to our needs.”

GoQuo managing director Ron Ramanan added: “The consistent focus of Travel Centre (Clapham) on niche travel markets and sectors has given it a healthy market lead. But competition is fierce and by investing in our solutions, and our business promise of cost value, customisation and superior technology, Travel Centre (Clapham) should be able to drive its growth plans with confidence.”
