MORNINGSIDE, South Africa - Slipstreamz, South Africa-based manufacturer of "The Slip," an innovative cycling earwear product, today announced The Slip will be featured on Home & Garden Television's (HGTV) "I Want That! Tech Toys" television show.

The Slip will appear in Episode #110 which debuts Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:00 p.m. on HGTV and Sunday, November 19 at 1:30 p.m. The episode will also re-air throughout HGTV's broadcast season. In addition to its on-air presence, product information about The Slip and Slipstreamz will be listed on the show's Web site, www.HGTV.com.

The Slipstreamz Slip consists of a set of unobtrusive deflectors made of soft foam, flexible plastic and durable mesh fabric, which attach to virtually any bicycle helmet. The Slip deflects air turbulence away from the ears, resulting in reduced wind noise, warmer ears on cool days and enhanced situational awareness by improving the ability of cyclists to hear important sounds, such as cars approaching from behind. The Slipstreamz Slip also allows safe use of an MP3 player while riding by placing iPod earbuds out and away from the ear canal, resulting in ambient listening instead of music blaring directly in the ear.

HGTV's "I Want That! Tech Toys" is produced by NAHB Production Group and features the latest high-tech products for home and outdoor use. HGTV, America's leader in home and lifestyle programming, is distributed to more than 89 million U.S. households and is one of cable's top-rated networks. The network's branded programming can also be seen in 47 other countries.

"'I Want That! Tech Toys' is about bringing people the latest in what's cool, ingenious, and useful in the gadget world," said Nancy LeBrun, head of production and development for NAHB Production Group. "The Slipstreamz Slip filled the bill for us - a great solution for cyclists that we're pleased to tell them about."

Lonnie Tiegs, president of Slipstreamz, developed The Slip after noticing his ears were starting to ring after riding his bike and that he had difficulty hearing sounds in the high decibel range. Tiegs incorporated the ability to use iPod earbuds with The Slip to allow bicyclists to safely listen to music while riding.

The Slip also recently appeared on ABC 7 Chicago and CW11 New York news broadcasts, and in The New York Times, Popular Science, Bicycle Retailer and Industry News and several on-line consumer electronics product review Web sites.

Suggested manufacturers retail price for The Slip is $13 (US). Those interested in finding out more about The Slip, please visit www.slipstreamz.com. For distributorship opportunities, e-mail Lonnie Tiegs at ltiegs@slipstreamz.com or call 27.83.225.7899.

About Slipstreamz
Formed in 2004 by Lonnie Tiegs, Slipstreamz is based in South Africa where Tiegs resides and created a new form of earwear for cyclists. As an experienced road and mountain cyclist of more than 15 years, Tiegs, president and chief executive officer of Slipstreamz, noticed his ears rang after riding and that he began having difficulty hearing sounds in the high range. Inspired by this annoyance, Tiegs developed "The Slip" and it is now available online and in selected retailers around the world.
