Used Autos Pioneer, AutoGuide, Gets New Crew Chief

Atlanta, Georgia – AutoGuide, a division of Consumer Source, Inc., (CSI) and the nation’s fastest growing resource for used autos, announces the appointment of James Moon as Vice President. This appointment is just another step in transforming the company from a start-up launched less than two years ago to a force to be reckoned with in the very competitive market of used cars.

James Moon comes to AutoGuide (www.autoguide.com) after successfully heading up the New Homes division of CSI. Since joining the company in 1998, he has served in various roles including Southeast Regional Director and Director of New Business Development for the New Homes division. James began his tenure at Consumer Source as a Publisher for Apartment Guide in Miami. Throughout his CSI career, Moon has demonstrated an ability to design and develop high performance teams, as well as to achieve strong financial results.

Moon began his business career in 1985 by joining the Federal Reserve Bank as a mail clerk, while attending college, and quickly rose through the ranks. After 11 years with the Federal Reserve, Moon joined GTE Wireless (now Verizon) as a Major Account Manager laying the foundation for his successful sales and management career.

Moon's experience also includes serving as General Manager for a large used autos publishing company in Miami and the Florida Keys, where he managed a $13 million operation, including sales and distribution of 21 titles and production of three local magazines. His tenure there will be a powerful advantage for AutoGuide, as it stands poised to break out in the used cars scene.

Bob Metz, CEO of Consumer Source, Inc., notes that “James’ knowledge of the automotive industry and success in the New Homes division gives AutoGuide the leadership it needs to ensure growth and expansion consistent with its potential and prior performance.” Metz also added, “We are very confident in his leadership and know that he will move the AutoGuide division forward. His track record speaks for itself as does his dedication and talent.”

Moon, a top honors graduate with an MBA from the University of Houston, takes the wheel at AutoGuide immediately.
