Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) and area merchants announced today that this year’s Winterfest celebration will benefit the Kent Food Bank. Scheduled for Saturday, December 2 from 8 am to 7 pm, Winterfest 2006 – A Holly Jolly Day in Kent will feature a waffle breakfast at Maggie’s on Meeker, a one-mile Holly Jolly walk guided by The Balanced Athlete, local entertainment, horse drawn carriage rides, holiday sales and more. This year’s event promises to draw a large crowd from Kent and the surrounding areas.

The day-long event will bring back old favorites including a visit from Santa and his traditional bike giveaway, while offering activities and attractions to bring families to downtown Kent.
