Bloggers Post Nine-Author Fantasy Series

Windsor, ON — Nine young authors are taking their work where the readers are—to Blogger.com and the World Wide Web. Their nine-volume fantasy story, which is based at http://romanyepistles.blogspot.com, chronicles the adventures of nine siblings who are banished in a medieval world of falcons, dragons, and true love.

Rachel Starr Thomson, Rachel Rossano, Elizabeth Russell, Haley Crenwelge, Brittany Simmons, Emily Nelson, Alissa Holmes, Charissa Taylor, and Rachel Brewer are members of a Web-based writers' group called The Wayside Inn Writer's Society. After the successful blogging of fantasy novels by several members, they hatched a plan to write nine interlocking stories. Each chapter is blogged as it's written, in a bid to include readers in the fascinating (and often frustrating) process of writing. The project began before the rush of internet phenonemon NaNoWriMo, but has been marked by the same nail-biting adrenaline and fun that characterizes the 30-day novel writing race.

The Romany Epistles kicked off earlier this month, and will continue until each book is finished. The project has been sponsored by Ontario-based Little Dozen Press, which plans to publish the books in traditional form once they are finished.
