Pet-Shops.biz Expands Supplies Inventory and Goes Global

November 27, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Pet-Shops.biz, a division of Aquarium-Club.com has “gone to the dogs”. They’ve also gone to the cats, hamsters, lizards, turtles and have added massive amounts of product supplies inventory, which is “for the birds” as well. And then add to all of this, Pets-Shops.biz has also made the recent decision to officially and overtly go global, as the result of all of the international visitors all of the Aquarium-Club related sites receive daily from every country on the globe and the club’s access to rare fish from breeders around the world.

Pet-Shops.biz is one of the many web sites in the Aquarium-Club group, which includes http://Aquarium-Fish.biz, http://Rare-Tropicalfish.com and http://Tropical-Fish-Net.com. Until now, as with the other web sites, Pet-Shops.biz basically only provided aquarium supplies and tropical fish for sale. Other domain names owned by the Aquarium-Club group, yet to be developed into web sites, are: GuppyBreeder.com, BettaBreeders.com, Aquarium-Info.com, 4Tropical-fish.com and PETSeMART.com.

Pet-Shops.biz and the other sites in the Aquarium-Club.com group sell a wide range and variety of pet supplies as associates with large USA pet supplies chains such as PETsMART , Petco, 1-800-PETMEDS and Walmart. The aquarium and tropical fish domain name related web sites only sell aquarium and tropical-fish related supplies, but they do link to Pet-Shops.biz.

Saltwater fish, at all of the Aquarium-Club web sites, are sold through an association with Drs. Foster & Smith pet shop. Freshwater aquarium fish are sold through the Drs. Foster & Smith “LiveAquaria” association and by the professional fish breeding members of Aquarium-Club.com. This is to insure both the quality of fish and that fish sold on-line (then shipped through the mail and other shipping sources), are packaged properly to arrive alive and healthy.

The decision to expand the supplies inventories for the other pet departments at Pet-Shops.biz is based upon the fact that most aquarium hobbyists also have other pets, such as dogs, cats and birds. A link to Pet-Shops.biz for all other pets exists on all of the club’s web sites for this reason. Each pet category at Pet-Shops.biz currently has about four dozen or more items now as sales specials, but the inventory will gradually expand, although the full range of products is presently accessible and available to customers from the PETsMART affiliation. The aquarium supplies and selection of tropical fish are extensive and complete on all web sites.

Will Griffin, owner and founder of the Aquarium-Club group stated: “It was time to officially expand the other pet supplies categories and to go global. We are already global and we’ve sold some other pet products, so we need to do this more officially. We now have a large volume of visitors from all over the world and we’ve recently completed some search engine optimizations to increase our rankings and traffic now that we are ready to service these additional hobbyists and pet owners with more information, more products, and a comprehensive roster of breeders and collectors of every species and variety of aquarium fish imaginable”.

Pet-Shops.biz is now actively recruiting pet shop and distributor partners around the world, because the supplies they currently sell through the PETsMART are primarily for the USA and Canadian markets. Additional Pet shop partnerships are being sought in the Canada, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Germany, Scandinavia, Italy, India, Australia, S.E. Asia, Japan and China. The qualifying criteria for these pet shops will be: (1) a functioning e-commerce web site, (2) the ability to successfully ship fish and products within their region/country, (3) quality fish, aquarium products and other pets, and (4) a profound dedication to customer service.

There are many rare and show quality tropical fish breeders around the world, who are wishing, ready and willing to sell their fish through the Aquarium-Club and by going global, Pet-Shops.biz and the other Aquarium-Club web sites will make these rare fish available to pet shops and aquarium hobbyists everywhere.

Thus the breeders, pet shops and hobbyists all get what they desire by being matched up in a common easy to recall domain name hub, in fact several such web sites. Excellent examples of this are the breeders of IFGA show quality guppies and the betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) breeders of Thailand, China, southeast Asia generally and in the USA. To see the difference in quality between these bettas and what are usually found in pet shops and commercially available, visit: http://rare-tropicalfish.com

By officially and overtly going global, this also makes it easier for Aquarium-Club members to sell their fish to pet shops and hobbyists around the world and also to receive fish from other breeders and wild caught fish from the Amazon River, killifish from Africa and other rare species of fish from other regions, while helping to reduce the advertising and marketing costs some of these breeders, collectors and export-distributors have.

This will also prove to be a benefit to the local distributors and the various pet shops in the target countries, who have not had direct or immediate access to the fishermen and breeders prior to this. An added benefit of this will be the conservation bi-products for saltwater and freshwater fishes and it to be more economical for pet shops and hobbyists to buy higher quality fish and other pets directly from professional breeders. Thus this matchmaking will greatly expand the domesticated saltwater and freshwater breeding programs around the world, helping to protect coral reef and other environments and species gene pools.

To understand and to fully appreciate the significance of Pet-Shops.biz and the Aquarium-Club’s decision to expand to other pet products and to officially and overtly become a global operation, consider the economic ramifications.

The aquarium and pet trade is a $38.4 billion per year industry in the USA alone. In the USA in 2006 there are 360 million pets, with 165 million of these being cats and dogs, in 69.1M (63%) of households. 45% of households have more than one pet. Of the remaining 195 million pets (54% of pets) in the USA, most of these (148.6 million) are aquarium tropical fish.

Small Animal 18.2

PETsMART and Petco combined only have 15% of the market (PETM made over $300M profit in the first quarter of 2006), thus there is plenty of room in the market for others to make significant profits from on-line and in-store sales to those owners of about 150 million fish, which is 2.5 times larger than the number of fish pets at the beginning of the decade. Pet-Shops.biz and the entire Aquarium-Club.com group is looking to share with PETsMART and Petco in their 15% of the US market, increase their presents in the remaining 85% of the US market and begin very serious market penetrations in the larger global aquarium and pets markets.

The above numbers/data are just the USA figures and the aquarium hobby is very popular, even the more so per capita, in countries like Canada, UK, Germany, Japan and China, thus the reason for Aquarium-Club.com to go global now and to also expand their pet supplies offerings at Pet-Shops.biz is res ipso loquitor.

Pet shops, distributors and tropical fish breeders wishing to be considered to become associates with Pet-Shops.biz and Aquarium-Club, should visit the web sites and complete the application forms on the web sites.
