Cannondale’s UK sales manager, Andrew Huddart, commented ’Tredz may be a new player online but their reputation and trading history in the cycle market is unprecedented. We have been without a dealer in Wales for too long and couldn’t be happier to be joining forces with Tredz. This partnership can only do excellent things for our UK coverage.’

The 2007 range of Cannondale bikes includes the new Caffeine, Judge and Perp along with the ever-popular Gemini, Prophet and Scalpel. The SystemSix Team is their jewel-in-the-crown bike, featuring Campagnolo Record carbon and a carbon/aluminium frame construction at £6,499.99. Cannondale’s clothing line is the first on the market to make use of carbon fibre technology in their QuadteX LE jerseys and shorts giving them unparalleled moisture management and odour absorption.

The American bicycle manufacturer has been designing and building bikes in the USA since 1983. Cannondale raised the cycling world's eyebrows by equipping their bicycles with handcrafted aluminium frames that were both lighter and more flex-resistant than the steel models that dominated the industry at the time.

The General Manager of Tredz, Nic Fluck, said ‘Cannondale have always been at the cutting edge of bike manufacturing. They examine every gram of weight, every millimetre of the frames’ tubeset and then engineer rider benefits by hand in Bethel, Connecticut, USA. Only a tiny fraction of their range is manufactured in the Far East. As they say themselves “Our mission is to create innovative, quality products that inspire cyclists around the world”. An example is their one-legged suspension fork, the Lefty. Taken sceptically at first, the Lefty went on to win 15 out of the 16 World Cup dual slalom races in its debut year, along with the women’s dual slalom World Championships.’

Cannondale’s stable of top riders includes Aaron Chase, Tinker Juarez and Roel Paulissen, along with Ironman World Champion Faris Al-Sultan.
