Call For Webcomics Submissions !!!!!!!!!!

Here are the rules

White Powdered Doughnuts is looking for a few good stories. As everyone is aware by now, comic books and comic strips have become more complex and popular over the years. They have found an enourmously enthusiastic audience on the internet. We are currently looking for the right combination of storyline and art that we can all be proud of. Our primary goal is to help creators display their comics on the net. We really want to promote new webcomic artists and writers. We also want to create a friendly community of webcomic creators that like to gather virtually and talk about their projects while giving feedback, constructive criticism, and tips to others.

Guidelines are not strict, but like we said before, we are looking for the right combination. Interested parties, see below. Anyone else, check back soon to see what develops…

Submission Guidelines

First things first, White Powdered Doughnuts is not offering compensation for work submitted to the webcomic section. White Powdered Doughnuts is offering you exposure and a chance to put your work out there for the market to enjoy, a spot on our forums for you and your fans to congregate, and a chance to write articles for our site. Please, no unreasonable adult content or Fan-fiction. Parody is OK.

Here is what we want to see:

Images or URLS (we prefer URLS) to no less than 5 fully finished (that is inked/colored and lettered ) webcomic strips or webcomic pages. We'd like to READ it, see how the story flows, etc… Make sure images are at the very least 640x480 pixels wide and that the lettering is legiable.

A detailed synopsis of what the overall series is about. It's duration (is it on-going or finite or just a oneshot/guestcomic?), whether or not it will be full color, black & white or photocomic, etc. Tell us why we would like this series.

Include your name and E-mail address with the proposal and on the images somewhere. You will get a response, even if it's "no thanks".

If you already have an established webcomic site up and running; please send us the URL to your webcomic.

Send this to:
submissions@thewpd.com

We are not looking for any specific genre or type of webcomic-we are looking for webcomics that are well-written and well-drawn, by people who are dedicated and can update them on a regular basis be it monthly weekly or even daily. We would however appreciate webcomics that pertain to Sci-fi, Humor/Slice of Life, Surreal/Fantasy, Superhero, or any combination of those.

White Powdered Doughnuts assures you that any work submitted to WhitePowderedDoughnuts.com will remain YOURS, you retain the copyright, regardless of whether or not the work is accepted and promoted on our Website.

If your webcomic is accepted for promotion on our site all we ask is that you promote us as well on your site (we will provide you with the banner html code) and that you use our forums as mentioned above for your webcomic. If at anytime you want to stop promoting the webcomic on our site you are free to do so.

To help the less technical webcomic creators, we offer all the things that a webcomic needs in order to function properly and will host your webcomic for you for free on our server.

If any anthology should ever be offered for print publishing that includes your webcomic we will notify you first of the intent to publish and workout some form of compensation for you if and only if the publication is to be sold for monetary gain by White Powdered Doughnuts. If the publication is not sold for monetary gain by White Powdered Doughnuts we will still ask for permission to publish your work in print and give you the option of not including your webcomic in the publication.
