Nationalway Healthcare Association (NWHA) was formed in 1996 with a very specific goal in mind. such things as: Personal Evaluation System (PES), Medical Library, Health Helpers and Health Risk Assessment tool links. The first tool, PES, displays a graphical interactive model of a body that you click on to locate problem areas. You can also rotate this model to side and rear view positions to more accurately pinpoint the area of concern. After choosing an area and choosing from a list of symptoms, the system will ask several questions to assist with a preliminary diagnosis. After a diagnosis has been narrowed down, a list of treatments will become available. This list may include self-help tips, over the counter treatments or even alternative medications and remedies that may be of assistance. At the very least a member could print this list and take to their doctor for a better understanding of the problem. NWHA and WorldDoc give members the option of a Do-it-Yourself approach to health. Although the system clearly states “This is not a substitute for a medical evaluation by a licensed physician” It does give a list of possibilities that again, empowers individuals to make better medical choices. This benefit certainly deserves a look and could possibly become a standard in individual health.
This is just a synopsis of the vast array of benefits Nationalway Healthcare association has to offer. There are hundreds of ways to tackle the healthcare gap that divides America, but there is only one way to approach it.
