The game, played for the first time at Sun Devil Stadium on the Arizona State University campus, will begin at 6:00 p.m. MST, but the excitement for Golden Gophers and Red Raiders fans will build up long before kick-off.

With the Insight Bowl’s new venue at Sun Devil Stadium, set in the heart of Tempe’s fun loving Mill Avenue District, comes a new match up: the Big Ten and Big 12. For the Big Ten’s University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, the 2006 Insight Bowl will be their fifth consecutive trip to a bowl game. Representing the Big 12, the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team will play in their seventh straight bowl game, a record unmatched in school history. The Insight Bowl will be televised live from Sun Devil Stadium to a nationwide audience on the new NFL Network.
