Dietary Fiber FBCx Reported To Preferentially Bind Saturated Fat

December 13, 2006 (Windsor, ON) —- Data presented at the 2006 annual meeting of the North American Association for the Study of Obesity (NAASO) demonstrated that the all natural dietary fiber FBCx preferentially binds saturated dietary fat. The double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial with obese diabetic volunteers concluded that all volunteers in the active group responded to FBCx, but those that had the highest saturated fat-containing diets experienced the largest adjusted weight loss.

Through the use of dietary recall with the volunteers, the researchers were able to correlate adjusted weight loss with the caloric intake and diet composition of the volunteers’ usual diet. Although there was a significant correlation between the total fat content of the diet and the adjusted weight loss, the correlation with saturated fat was three-fold greater.

ArtJen Complexus Holdings Corp. the producer of FBCx, in collaboration with Dr. George Grunberger, founder of the Grunberger Diabetes Institute, Bloomfield Hills, MI, www.gdi-pc.com conducted this three-month weight loss study. ArtJen President, Dr. Catherine Jen said, “We knew that FBCx was very efficient at binding fat but the finding that FBCx actually prefers saturated fat has been a very exciting surprise.”

Obesity has reached epidemic proportions worldwide. Two-thirds of the adult population of the USA is either overweight or obese. An estimated 17% of the children and adolescents of the USA were overweight in 2004, an increase of 55% from the early 1990s. All natural FBCx is proving to be an effective weapon in the war on obesity.

Following years of research two university professors, Drs. Catherine Jen and Joseph Artiss, have developed what has been described as a “powerful weapon in the war on obesity”.

“We are very pleased that the efficacy and safety of FBCx have been recognized by medically supervised weight loss programs.” said Dr. Artiss. He added that, “This most recent finding will lead to a paradigm shift. Red meat really is not the evil that we have been led to believe, as long as you take FBCx with it.”

About Us:

ArtJen Complexus Holdings Corp. is the sole manufacturer of FBCx tablets, an all natural, soluble, dietary fiber. FBCx has the very unique ability to bind nine times its own weight in dietary fat.
