PORTLAND, OR – The Summit Creative Awards today announced they are now accepting entries for the 2007 Summit Creative Awards competition. Recognized worldwide as the industry’s most prestigious award given exclusively for works created by small and mid-size marketing firms, the Summit Creative Awards has become a coveted honor that draws the highest caliber of contestants from around the globe.

Open exclusively to advertising and public relations agencies, advertisers, video, graphics and multimedia companies and other creative firms with annual billings of less than $25 million, the Summit Creative Awards provides a public spotlight for the enormously creative work being created by some of today’s smaller firms. Each year the competition draws thousands of entries from around the globe**.

“Some of today’s most brilliant marketing campaigns are coming out of small to mid-size agencies,” said Jocelyn Luciano, executive director of The Summit Creative Awards. “Our goal is to help provide visibility to this amazing work that might otherwise be overlooked. We want to ensure that the best of the smaller creative companies receive the attention and worldwide recognition they deserve.”

This year, awards will be given in 24 categories including a category devoted entirely to Emerging Media such as blogs, online advertising campaigns and e-mail programs.

Judging is done by a panel of marketing professionals representing some of the top creative agencies from the United States and around the world. Winners are selected based on strength of concept, quality of execution, and ability to communicate and persuade. Winning entries receive a Best of Show, Gold, Silver or Bronze award. Past judges have included senior-level executives from such firms as J. Walter Thompson USA, Inc; Saatchi & Saatchi, Promoseven McCann Relationship Marketing, Scanad – Denmark, A|D – Australia, DDM Interactive – Ukraine, and XM – Hong Kong.

“The Summit Creative Awards acknowledges the fact that some of the most creative and effective marketing campaigns today are being developed by smaller agencies,” said Ilan Geva, Principal and Creative of Strategy and Beyond and one of the judges last year’s competition. “The level of work submitted by entrants in last year’s Summit Creative Awards highlights why many of today’s largest clients are turning to smaller agencies for their expertise.”

Each year, the Summit Creative Awards announces winners through both the trade media and the web. The public can also learn about current and past winners and view winning entries via the Summit Creative Awards web site. The site also serves as an agency resource for industry news and links to related information. The 2006 Best of Show winners included:
