“The place I call home.”

Gerhard Guevarra first website work for a Roanoke Rapids company was as website manager for Collier Harley-Davidson, which he managed for several years. He has since has taken his experiences and love for the community to fuel the creation of a website he hopes will give back to the area that has given so much to him.

While it is true the RoanokeRapidsLife.com is based out of Fayetteville, NC, Guevarra has long considered Roanoke Rapids his home. “Growing up in a military family and having been in the military myself, I moved every three or four years.” When he met his wife in college and returned with her to her hometown of Roanoke Rapids, he finally felt welcomed by the people and began to love the Roanoke Valley way of life.
While living in the Roanoke Rapids, Guevarra taught 8th grade at Weldon Middle School, was an assistant coach with the Weldon Middle junior varsity basketball team, started a small fencing club, helped choreograph a piece for the Roanoke Rapids High School band, and participated in many Collier Harley-Davidson and H.O.G. events and donated to various area charities. “I hope with the success of the website, I’m able to continue to give back to the schools, its local National Guard, churches, families and charities.”

“My family is here, I was married here, I got my first job out of college here, I even bought my first truck in Roanoke Rapids…God willing, I’ll retire here. Roanoke Rapids is such a great place. I want everyone who visits RoanokeRapidsLife.com to experience all the best Roanoke Rapids has to offer.”
