Wallcoverings Association Announces New 2005 Association President and Board Members

CHICAGO – The Wallcoverings Association (WA) recently named its new association President and appointed new members to its Board of Directors for 2005. The announcement was made at the 2005 WA Annual Convention in Palm Desert, CA, February 12-15, 2005.

Officer positions are nominated for one-year terms, while Director terms are three years. Terms end at the WA Annual Convention that coincides with the designated year.

The new president of WA is Dick Blosz, of Randolph, Mass.-based Hytex Industries, Inc. Previously, Blosz served the Board as a Director.

“Dick will be an excellent leader for the association, as well as the 2005 WA Board,” said Ron Pietrzak, WA Executive Director. “He is an extremely passionate, dedicated industry professional, and I look forward to working with Dick at this level.”

Blosz replaces 2004 President Bob Parisi, of South Hackensack, N.J.-based J. Josephson. Parisi now assumes the role of Immediate Past President on the 2005 Board.

“I, along with the Board, have had the pleasure of working with some extraordinary leaders in our industry,” Parisi said at his farewell speech at the 2005 WA Annual Convention. “We are extremely fortunate to have so many talented people that are active in the WA.”

Tim Quinn, of Upper Marlboro, MD-based Chesapeake Wallcoverings Corporation is the new 2005 WA Vice President. Quinn previously served as a Director, and is replacing 2004 Vice President Carl Vizzi, of York, Penn.-based York Wallcoverings.

Jerry Russo, of Calumet City, IL.-based Roman Decorating Products, Inc., has assumed the role of Treasurer. Russo formally served WA as a Director.

WA welcomes its new Directors, who include: Dan Bonini, FSC Wallcoverings, New York, NY; Gary Morris, Eykon Wall Source, Memphis, TN.; and Bobby Moore, Genesys, Atlanta, GA.
