Groundbreaking broadband series California Heaven, the first TV series produced for online audiences, has been renewed for a second season.

"We're thrilled to be back for more wicked fun in the sun," said Stewart St. John, CEO of StewdioMedia Entertainment and creator of the cutting-edge soap.

The addictive series, which revolves around a rich and dysfunctional Malibu, California family who own the largest chain of surf shops in America, can be seen online at www.californiaheaven.com

"We're excited about the success of California Heaven and plan to push the boundaries of interactivity even further in season two," said Todd James Fisher, co-producer and Vice-President of StewdioMedia Entertainment.

"We're revealing a huge a twist on the show this season, one that was always planned and will take the series to a much darker place," teased St. John. "We're also in talks with several well-known actors to make a guest appearance on the show, including a former star of the TV series Dallas."

California Heaven attracted over 5 million visitors during its first season online in 2006.

In addition to entering its second season, the producers are also seeking to form strategic alliances with advertisers. "Back in '96, when we did The Spot, we successfully integrated advertisers such as Toyota and Banana Republic into our story line," said St. John. "We've long understood how to tastefully incorporate brands into our content."

"With a beautiful cast, the Malibu location, and a loyal following, we see California Heaven as a natural fit for the right advertisers who want to reach online consumers," said Todd Fisher.
