Unofficial Windows Vista Forum Comes Of Age

January 02, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Singapore-based Internet entrepreneur and SEO consultant, Larry Lim, purchased TheVistaForums.com in October 2006. The forum was home to one of the largest Windows Vista discussion community at the time, with 2,000 members.

The acquisition was largely seen in the webmaster circle as an opportunistic move to cash-in on the anticipated high traffic once the new operating system is released to the public in January 2007.

"I had planned to start a forum on my other unofficial Windows Vista resource website, VistaUltimate.com, but I thought this would give me a quick entry into the forum game", answered Larry when asked about the acquisition.

"TheVistaForums.com was developed by a young Australian named William Hook in 2005, and he continues to run the forum brilliantly with his team of able moderators, while I provide the financial and marketing support", he continued. When asked how much revenue the forum brings, he said "we have not begun monetizing the forum yet because our strategy right now is to grow our membership."

Indeed, TheVistaForums.com has grown by leaps and bounds under the online marketing whiz, adding over 1,600 new members in 2 months! It is currently ranked top 3 on all the major search engines for practically every search related to "Windows Vista forums". The forum currently receives close to 100,000 unique visitors a month and serves more than 700,000 pageviews - a respectable figure considering that Windows Vista is not even launched yet!
