This is a unique opportunity to experience a genuine cattle drive, where you will spend two days taking a herd of over 300 Hereford cattle from Estancia Huechahue up to their highland summer grazing ground on the shores of Lake Lolog. You will accompany the native gauchos, helping to herd and drive the cattle through rivers and across prairie lands while sleeping under the stars at night and dining al fresco on the traditional asado (barbecued beef). The Estancia is run by an Anglo-Argentinian family who will look after you as guests in their home. Part of this exclusive trip will also include a four-day trek on horseback in the Lanin National Park, in the foothills of the Andes, surrounded by snow capped mountains. You will also have the opportunity to go fishing and rafting on the local river, see condors and visit ancient Indian burial caves. Your adventure culminates in a two-day visit to Argentinas cosmopolitan capital, Buenos Aires. (Moderate horse trekking).
